Grab your broomsticks, Potterheads! HBO just announced the new faces who will wear the robes of our beloved trio in the upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ TV series. After going through the casting call of over 30,000 hopefuls, the casting department has finished their spell and chosen three young actors to bring Harry, Hermione, and Ron back to life!
Dominic McLaughlin is stepping into the iconic round glasses as Harry Potter! Originally from Scotland, Dominic has been performing at the Performance Academy Scotland. He is due to appear in the BBC series ‘Gifted,’ where he’s already shown his talent before being messaged by Hogwarts.
Arabella Stanton will portray the ever-intelligent Hermione Granger! Being only 11 years old, Arabella has already performed as Matilda in the West End production of London’s ‘Matilda: The Musical.’ With plenty of stage time, we will have an intelligent, lovable Hermione. Alastair Stout captures the loyal and lovable Ron Weasley.
While Alastair may be the newest face of the trio (his last claim to fame was a cute potato commercial), he is prepared to embody Ron’s warmth and humor. With an expected 2026 debut, the series will explore the world of J.K. Rowling in a much deeper aspect, allowing die-hard fans a much more in-depth reading of these cherished books.
With a plan in place to break the series into seven full seasons, HBO will bring the magic of Harry Potter to a new generation and bring Harry Potter magic back to the long-time fans. So, polish your wands and prepare your cauldrons—Hogwarts is getting ready to welcome a new class of wizards!
